I sent this message a while ago, but after seeing there I got no reply
I also notice it is not listed in the archive, so I thought that there
may was a problem.
Here it is again, I would be glad if one could help.

Subject: System menu not working?
To: xfce at xfce.org
Hey,
I thought this is a common problem but after hours of searching I feel
a bit alone with this.
Xfce used to show my applications listing in it's menu. I'm not sure
at what stage and after doing what - but it stopped. My menu layout
still has a "system" item, but it seems like it doesn't generate
anything.
Running gnome-panel shows that everything is working there, and also
running Smeg (the menu editor) shows me my beloved menus - but Xfce
just ignores it completely.
Needless to say, my /usr/share/applications/ is filled with *.desktop files.
Anyone has an idea about what is going wrong? Editing my menu reflects
my changes right away, but adding a system menu item does nothing.
Thanks.
p.s. I'm not subscribed to the list, so please keep me mailed if you can.
