Newbie: Moving task bar and Panel to right side of monitor

Hi all, I'm a recent convert (an hour ago) from KDE on Kubuntu 5.10. I
really need the screen as tall as it can be, so I'd like to move the
Task Bar and the Panel both to the right side of the screen. I imagine
the Task Bar beign vertical in the upper right hand corner, and the
Panel being vertical in the lower right hand corner. I have disabled
the names of items on the Task Bar,  so that the buttons for each
program will be thin enogh to fit.
