Debian testing and thunar

I've just started (> one week) using Xfce after a few years of OpenBox,
and I quite like it. I've still exploring and seeing what works and
how, however. Yesterday I thought I'd try out thunar. I'm running
Debian testing, and so a quick "apt-get install thunar" got me started.
However, apt had to remove libfam0 for thunar to install. Once
installed I discovered that X wouldn't run - it could not longer access
.ICEauthority, and so X started and then crashed each time I used
startx. I resolved this by removing thunar and reinstalling libfam0,
and I thought I'd let the list know/get it into the archives in case
someone else gets similarly stuck.
