Greetings. I am the maintainer of the fedora-extras Xfce packages.

I have had no issues with them with fc4 (or on my development box).

What versions of the various packages do you have? In particular
xfce-mcs-manager...

rpm -q xfce-mcs-manager
and
rpm -qf /usr/bin/xfce-mcs-manager
rpm -qf /usr/bin/xfce-setting-show

Whats in /etc/ld.so.conf ?
