It happened again a short while ago.  I wasn't doing anything special,
just hacking on something.  I might have been switching between windows,
or maybe workspaces.  I'm not really sure.

Since I don't know what's trigerring it, not really.

I'll try next time, but it might not be feasible.  The display became
totally unusable, so I had to ssh from another machine, and even that
took several minutes just to type out a kill command.
