Completely hiding the panel and the taskbar

Hi all.
I'd like to completely hide both the panel and the taskbar in order to have
the full desktop surface for my application.
The idea should be the same as seen in KDE: both the tools should become 
visible as soon as the mouse moves over the screen borders.
I've not found any option for this ... but maybe I'm too new to this
fantastic fast DM.

Any hint?
