Thanks for the response.

OOo did not install them in the proper place so yes, I did copy them to
/usr/X11R6/share/applications/

athlon1800# ls -l /usr/X11R6/share/applications/
[edited to include only OOo]
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 6487 Oct 20 20:10 base.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 5791 Oct 20 20:10 calc.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 4781 Oct 20 20:10 draw.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 5921 Oct 20 20:10 impress.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 4474 Oct 20 20:10 math.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 207 Oct 20 20:05 openoffice.desktop
-r--r--r-- 1 root wheel 6625 Oct 20 20:10 writer.desktop

An example of one of the files I copied over and the one that I created
myself is in my original message.

Thanks

-Mark
