The gtk theme engine has to be packaged separately, because it must be
installed to the same prefix as gtk to work properly.  I guess Olivier
didn't package it.  (Benny, who wrote the installer and usually does
the packaging for it, is MIA.)

Yes, for now you'll need to compile and install it from source (using
the 4.2.2 tar.gz), making sure to pass
- --prefix=`pkg-config gtk+-2.0 --variable=prefix`
to the configure script.
