Panel / sylpheed / systray bug

Hi:
Systrayicon is a sylpheed plugin. To me, it does not work on
KDE neither on GNOME (it means it is a sylpheed-gtk2 related problem?
is it a xfce-systray problem with gtk2 icons?). Sylpheed gtk version
works fine on both xfce and KDE.
With and without taskbar plugin activated, it does not work.
