I can speak for mousepad being developed (and desperately needing a

And as you would see if XWN wasn't late, Xfmedia, and Terminal have
both had releases in the last two weeks (Xfmedia has had two).

it's unlikely that these will ever be "official" for various reasons -
for example, Xfmedia and Terminal both add dependencies, and really
who needs another text editor?

However, it is extremely likely that they'll all come out of the same
source repository in the near future.
