How to install GTK2 themes?

That's strange, it works on my machine and has for quite some time. Are
you sure the themes in question are GTK2 and not Metacity or GTK1? Did
you logout and logon after installing? that shouldn't necessary but you
never know. One more question... where did download the themes from? If
you send a URL perhaps myself or someone else could help debug your
problem.
