xfce-iconbox disappearing after a while

Hi,

I run xfce on CentOS4 and have had problems with my iconbox
disappearing.  When I ran XFCE directly on the box (i.e. monitor,
keyboard, mouse directly connected) I didn't seem to have this
problem.

I now connect using a remote desktop from an MSWindows machine running
X.org/Cygwin.

Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to trouble shoot it?

I start the xfce-iconbox from the "Run Program" dialog, it runs fine
for a few days, then it dies and I don't know where to look for any
error messages in a log or anything.
