problem with my xfce 4.2.1

Hi i have just installed xfce 4.2.1 in my debian using
apt-get from the location
deb ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/debian/ experimental
main non-free contrib
deb-src ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/debian/
experimental main non-free contrib

Everything seemed fine but after starting xfce4 the
background is black (or grey) and i cant do a right
click  to the desktop.. I think that the installation
might be corrupted... What do u have to suggest me do?
