xffm v rox and changing default programs

hello,

i've browsed the user manuals and can't find anything about these 2 items:

1) i'd like to use xffm as a file manager, but rox-filer seems to load, how can
i change over to xffm?

2) where can i change default programs for certain actions?  the help files
come up using mozilla-browser, i'd like to use firefox instead, where do i make
that change?
