Window Wierdness

   I've discovered the cause, but not the reason: it's related to the window
decoration. When I open the settings dialog and select "Window Manager" I
can see that different choices have different size squares in the lower
corners (they are extensions of the grab handles for resizing the window).
Some decoration styles have no squares, some have collapsed, horizontal bars
and others have squares from tiny to large.

   Very strange. Never before sceen. So I've had to change my window
decoration, but it's something that ought to be investigated and fixed.
