beta1 bug?

I compiled xfce 4.1.90 last night (Slackware 10) and found a couple of
problems.



1. For some reason the settings manager does not have icons for each of
the settings.  They still work but just don't have an icon.

2. I tried to pick one of my digital photos (jpeg format) using the
background dialog but it would not change it.  After that attempt,
xfdesktop appeared to have died.  I logged out and back in a few times
and could not get xfdesktop to start under that user account.  I could
delete the .config directory and "fix" this but I'd like to know what is
mangled.

Otherwise I really like the changes and am looking forward to the final
release.
