How to turn off task bar in xfce 4.2 RC1

As far as I am concerned, I am more familiar with the Mdk menu, and I
think it's more consistent to have a distro with the same Mdk menu on
the different desktop environments. But I don't use menus that much, so
I guess my opinion doesn't really count :-)
