OO 1.1.3 won't load under xfce-4.2 beta

I originally installed OO 1.1.3 under Gnome 2 on my WBEL 3.0 workstation. Under
that DE it runs fine. Then I installed xfce-4.2 beta. I had what appeared to be
minor problems upon installing, compiling all of it from source, but in the end I
believe I got everything working as it should. I reinstalled via --force with my
created RPM's in the proper order specified, just to be sure.

The only complaint I have with this beta version is that I can't run OO from
within it. I get startup activity and then nothing. Switch back to Gnome 2 and OO
runs just fine. I have tried starting from the 'soffice' script under my /home,
at the base installation's directory, and even tried opening up the individual
applets as does the Gnome 2 menu. Nothing. Is this a known issue with the beta,
or do I just have something amiss in my installation? Did OO install with an
expectation to pre-load a portion of itself that I am not doing under the XFce
startup?

For what it's worth, I truly enjoy the refinements made in this beta and the
greater customizing ability over its predicessors. It still runs mighty fast for
me on my AMD 500 box. :0)

TIA,

Paul
