'Gravity' when opening applications

mozilla/firefox/thunderbird is currently broken; a fix for those is 
currently in mozilla CVS (actually firefox 0.9 and thunderbird 0.7 
should have the fix).  otherwise, xfwm4 will place windows according to 
its internal algorithm, except when the application requests a specific 
position.
