Cropped XFce Panel icons - replicated issue

I just cvsup'd my ports collection and portupgraded gtk to 2.4.3, and I
can report that the XFCE icons are still cropped.
Is gtk a build or just a run dependency? Would it make any difference if
I rebuild xfce?
