[xfterm4] No lift on the right of the window

Hi,

I use XFCE 4.0.5 on my Gentoo box and I have the foloowing problem : I 
have no lift on the right of my term window, which makes me a little bit 
angry when I want to look back on something I made before with the term.

Running xfterm4 --help show an option -rightbar and -leftbar or +sb 
doest not change anything :(

If someone has a hint or a solution for me, it would be nice :)
