It is my only desktop. I am a 100% Linux user from May, 2003. I installed Gnome on my first Gentoo installation, but I had problems and I decided to start again from the first, installing a new Gentoo system and trying to install only the needed programs. In the try of install the most simple things, fastest and all about that, I meet with XFCE4. It looks nice, beauty but non-weight.

I use XFCE4 with Gaim, Sylpheed-Claws, Eterm (and all shell programs executed in, like irssi, ssh, NcFTP, emerge, etc...), gFTP, Firebird, TeampSpeak, XMMS, MPlayer, xPDF, Xpad, Bluefish, GVIM, GQview, The Gimp, etc...

I think the best important thing is try to get the best xfce4-panel configuration for you. My panel is the best for me, I can access to all things I want. I have an screenshot that I made to show to my friend some configurations of Eterm, :). http://www.sevein.com/misc/captura/captura-eterms.png

Now I will start to use xfcalendar and I hope impatiently new improvements for XFCE4 from the developers. Its my first time following a project from the mailing lists, although I am not developer, I can understand what they wanto to do, :).

Maybe, I miss that the filemanager be more intuitive for me and, moreover, like windows-style because it is been difficult for me learn it. By now, I use bash for do operations with files. I also miss that you could move elements in xfce4-panel without the need of edit the configuration file but that maybe it is unnecessary. I also would like to have in the stable branch the support for sessions manager. I like XFCE4, and it will be going on being my desktop, althoug I feel bad when I listen that my friends rip their CD's with konqueror to ogg with only click a button, :). It's fast and It's nice, :). Maybe someday I could help in the development, I want!

Sorry for my English, I am Spanish and my English isn't very good, :).
