Gnome-terminal error in xfce

I loaded MGT. You're right. It is nice. (Although I couldn't find a
transparent background feature - did I miss that?)

But, if Gnome and gnome-terminal is problem prone, why is
multi-gnome-terminal any different? That's not a meant to be a
challenge. I'm just trying to learn how all this works. I started
using Sylpheed as a mail client because it made similar claims to Xfce,
fast and lean (plus it comes the closest I've seen to the flexibility of
Pegasus Mail that I abandoned back in Windows land). Sylpheed is indeed
quick. I like it. So I'm starting to get the picture, being GTK-based
and maybe especially GTK2 is a potentially good feature when evaluating
a program. But when I google for "GTK2 + term" I only come up with
Gnome-terminal. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the great range of choices that
we have in the Open Source environment. js
