feature idea: prevent apps from stealing the focus

This in my opinion is a flaw in x then.  I agree swapping it back would
be a dreadful hack, and have visions of text you were typing at the time
flying into different windows as they fight over the focus.

My specific problem is gaim losing focus when "something" happens, like
notifications etc.

Since I'm on about xfwm, would it be possible to have a window grabber
function, similar to devilspie included?  Some windows, like the
Evolution password box really needs some centring!
