Hi All,

Figured it out. It was my settings in "settings", "Printing System."
I had them set to "File." When I changed them to "BSD-lpr", all was
fixed. I can print from Firefox, Open Office Write, and Gimp.
I was confused; I thought "BSD-lpr" stood from some backwards, legacy
support or something.

Idea: for boneheads, like myself, maybe change the wording in
printing system from "BSD-lpr" to "BSD-lpr (Cups, LPRng)"

I appreciate all the help everyone gave me!

Many thanks,
--Tony
