Different # of virtual workspaces on monitors

I asked this before, 

Is their a way to control the number of virtual workspaces on two
different X screens? Basically I have two monitors. I want to have 1
virtual workspace on one of them and on the other I want to have as many
as I want. I am NOT running xinerama because of a problem with a
application.
