RC2 won't start

Hi,

Just upgraded to RC2 on my Gentoo system. I did a local install to ~/local/.
Changing to ~/local/bin and running "./startxfce4" gives me error messages
like:
X server already running on display :0.0
xrdb: Connection refused

Has this something to do with my bootsplash, maybe? What am I missing?
