Changing resolution and behaviour of windows

Hi,
okay after playing around with the possibilities to changing the
resolution of the screen, I'd see that the applications that are running
in a windows doesn't go back to its previous position.
The panel works correct, the taskbar works correct, also applications
like gdesklets and gdeskcal works correct.
Got anyone a solution for this problem?
I'm using XFCE 4.1.1, but this happen also with previous versions.
