GTK vs QT

Hi all,
Speed is the major reason why I love XFce. Now I see on GnomeMeeting's
ml that the developers are going to drop GTK-related code to replace it
with QT, because "QT is simply better, more robust, more powerful,
nicer...".
I'd like to know what you guys think, as you all work in a GTK-built
environment, and I'd like to hear about any speed-related comparison
between QT and GTK that any of you might have done so far.
