Odd mailing-list setting

This mailing list appears to change the Content-Type headers of emails. 
I noticed because it just did it to my last post - from multipart/signed to
multipart/mixed. I think it's also changing the boundary markers. This breaks
GPG signing, and also seems an odd thing to do anyway.

Why is it doing this?
