xfce version 3 vs. 4 : missing features?

Maybe i didn't read the xfce4 announcement properly.
As i understand now:
This is the new version of xfce, based on xfce3, without compatibility.
Features we like, will be implemented.
If you want old features, implement it. Will be accepted?
Hard to believe, it will clash with the new standard.
If you don't like it, use something else.

I will.
Olivier, tnx for the xfce3, it is a real pearl.

P.S.
In my opinion the xfce4 is a gnome clone.
I'll read this mail list further to see which way will this thing go.
