More info on XFFM not seeing my winblows shares

xffm version 4.0.1
and samba version number 3.0.0
all this running on slackware 9.1
here is the lower pains after an attempt ... also the status bar at the
bottom shows query failed ... the upper pain only shows ACMEVILLE which
is the workgroup ... there are no winblows 95 machines only XP pro ...
