I compiled and installed xfce 4.0.0 from source and would like to upgrade to xfce 4.0.1. What's the safest way to do this? Should I "make uninstall" all the packages that need updating in the reverse order of installation, followed by building/installing the new 4.0.1 packages in the correct order?
