Accessing floppy & cdrom?

Thanks for all the feedback guys -

still v new to this, so bear with me...

I've looked at /etc/fstab and it seems that the cdrom & fd0 are already 
there - so unsure how to modify it further.  Heres the contents:

/dev/hda1  	 / ext3 	 defaults 	 0 	 1
/dev/hda5  	 none 	 swap 	 sw 	 0 	 0
proc  /proc  proc  defaults  0  0
/dev/fd0  /mnt/auto/floppy  auto 
defaults,user,noauto,showexec,umask=022  0  0
/dev/cdrom  /mnt/auto/cdrom  auto  defaults,ro,user,noexec,noauto  0  0
