I think it may be because v4 and v3 use ( few ) files with the same path
and name .

As slackware installation commands sequence are:" ./configure
--prefix=/usr; meka;make install" ,( both for v3 and v4 ), then removing
v3 removes some files including the common files ... Dont you think so ?


( v3 & v4 are not tree-independant ... )
