xfce-mcs-manager segfaults on Knoppix

I just downloaded http://www.xfce.org/archive/\
xfce4-cvs-snapshot.tar.bz2 but there are no ChangeLog
entries in the *mcs* sub-projects later than 2003-04-02.
The Debian seem to be CVS versions from 2003-04-21, so I
don't assume that there is a fix for my problem, right?
