Setting up xfce4?

Hi People, I'm new to xfce and just beginning to like it, I just
couldn't figure out how to set up xfce4... I've got a preconfigured
xfce3 available which I'm using at the moment, but i'd love to have a
taskbar...

I didn't find any documentation about how to configure the panel so
that it will "swallow" the taskbar (or any other application like the
clock). I saw this feature in some screenshots, but never
documented... So how do I do this?

By the way, if you need someone to write/translate german
documentation, I'd be glad to help you... I think xfce is a great
project...
