XFCE4 and font-size redux

Folks,
I think I solved the problem I described in my earlier post -- after
wandering off the "user" reservation and onto the "dev" mailing list.
Turns out that last month, someone posted a similar problem on the
developer list and solved it by commenting out a line in the .xinitrc
file that comes with XFCE4. It's the line specifying a dpi size for
fonts. Once I commented that entry, typographical life returned to
normal.
