version 3 error

I would like version 4 but it is not in ports yet so I will wait.

I am getting an error in FreeBSD Release 5.0 when I try to 'startxfce'.  It 
will start but only gives me the bar at the bottom and a black background.  I 
have to ctrl-alt-backspace to get out and then I see the error:

"xfwm has crashed due to a sigabrt xfwm in malloc error recursive call"

WHat can I do to get this working properly?
