No... it won't run at all.
This is my env and path settings:

[root at oracle oracle]# more .xinitrc
umask 022

# ORACLE ENVIRONMENT ######

export ORACLE_SID=ORCL817
export ORACLE_BASE=/oracle/u01/app/oracle
export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/product/8.1.7
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib
export TNS_ADMIN=$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
export ORACLE_OWNER=oracle
export ORACLE_TERM=xterm
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/java
export PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
source /usr/i386-glibc21-linux/bin/i386-glibc21-linux-env.sh

This is my session setting:

[root at oracle oracle]# more .xsession
#!/bin/sh
mozilla

So... what's wrong with my XFCE4??
