xfce4 on Suse 81

installed glib2-devel!
changed PKG_CONFIG_PATH!

now glib2 can be found cool...and there I go with my next problem, now
configure reports that gtk+-2.0 can not be found. Once again I'm sure gtk is
installed ;)

Do I really have to install all the devel packages? Anything I should know
about the gtk version? I know they had problems with Red Hat but with Suse?

I've found that i had to set it on all 3 of my desktop boxes.
