transparency on term + no show on taskbar

But what if one wouldn't want Eterm to show on the taskbar? You know, 
start Eterm on boot to show log messages on the desktop etc. I've been 
searching allover on how to not let Eterm show on the taskbar but can't 
find anything on the subject.
