XFCE does not kill the applications when quiting

Dear all.

Just wonder why XFCE4 does not kill the applications it launched when the 
panel quit.

Here is my parts of my init script

.....
xfce4-iconbox &
xfdesktop &
xfce4-panel

# test here
ps

....

The ps shows that xfdesktop, iconbox also mcs-manager are still running,
PLUS all of the applications.

I found that KDE does not kill all of its daemons too, but kills its 
applications.
On the other hand, IceWM or fluxbox kill applications.

Can I set the XFCE to kill the applications when quiting ?
