Icons

Being new to xfce3, bear with me if my terminology isnt quite correct.
When I minimize an application, there is then a 'icon' that is placed on my desktop.  These icons are all different sizes.  What is the path to these icons so I can edit them to be all the same size?  Or, is there some setting to make them all the same size?
