make rpm? (was Re: still having Zombie problems)

Very cool!

The rpm wants to install in /usr instead of /usr/local, which is where I
want it (and which is the configure default, and which is my "prefix" in
the Makefile).  After digging about a bit, I find that the rpm is built
using the xfce.spec file, which has prefix as '/usr'.  Can I safely edit
that file or is it automatically generated from another source?
