msgmerge: invalid multibyte sequence
lots of times.

and much later:
config.status: error: cannot find input file: xfdiff/icons/Makefile.in

    Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.86587 (%build)
make: *** [rpm] Error 1
