Unfortunately the only way to instrument this is by instrumenting the
call to xfce from xfwm. All the above does is launch xterm[1] which
launches strace xterm[2]. xterm[2] functions normally and closes
normally, while xterm[1] goes zombie. I've tried a few tricks with shell
scripts and output redirection, but I can't find a way around this
problem.
