Theme Engines

theme engines are pieces of code that are dlopened at run time by gtk
and which replace the default various object drawing routines.

They implement low level drawing routines for gtk widgets.

Depending on your taste :)

There is a lot of themes engines arround, some cause crashes (funny part
is that if you theme engine cause a crash, all your gtk apps crash at
once :) )

Most of the engines arround are stable, though, so the choice depend on
your taste. This is purely a matter of look.
