I have  Xfce with Debian ( woody ) and before with Mandrake 7.1 and 8.1

I use the gnome panel, and of course gnome applets in it. ( CPU load,
etc.... )
Also, it is very useful to switch from applications.
To launch, just add an application, the command is: panel

This way, I have  "butter and butter money", as we say in france.
Great Thanks  for the speed of Xfce, it is evident for me with a 200Mhz.
