no results with xfce_upgrade

Hello list,

Upgraded to a new xfce version with "--enable-old-style".
It's fine with root but it won't work with a plain user.

Someone in this list noted that I should use "xfce_upgrade".
I logged in as the regular user, ran "xfce_upgrade" but nothing
happened. I still get the grey colours on the buttons.

Any ideas most welcome,
